Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of Shugan Lidan decoction on postoperative rehabilitation and stone residual rate in patients with choledocholithiasis after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Methods A total of 296 patients with choledocholithiasis who underwent ERCP in the Fifth People’s Hospital of Qingdao from January 2016 to May 2018 were divided into experimental group and control group according to the random number table method, with 148 cases in each group. Patients in the two groups were treated by ERCP, and then they were given conventional acid suppression, enzyme inhibition and anti-infection after operation, while patients in experimental group were given orally Shugan Lidan decoction on this basis. The changes of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes scores, bile biochemical indicators, including cholesterol (TC), bile acid (TBA), direct bilirubin (UCB), total bilirubin (TBIL), immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA), liver function indicators, such as aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), alkaline phosphatase (AKP), before operation and 7 d after operation were compared between the two groups. The stone residual rate and recurrence rate 6 months after operation were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of abdominal pain, fever and jaundice in the two groups were lower 7 days after operation than those before operation(all P 0.05). The TC, TBIL and UCB in the two groups were lower than those before operation, while the TBA was higher than that before operation, and the changes were greater in experimental group (P 0.05), and the IgG in experimental group was lower than that before operation (P 0.05), and the stone residual rate in experimental group was lower than that in control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Shugan Lidan decoction after ERCP can promote the discharge of residual stones, relieve symptoms and improve liver function quickly, and it is helpful for prognosis of patients. Key words: Shugan Lidan decoction; Choledocholithiasis; Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography; Postoperative rehabilitation; Stone residual rate
