Abstract
For a project-specific test of 100 general knowledge questions presented within a multiple-choice format, each correct response was assigned a point value of 1. The examination was administered to both groups on a Saturday with extra credit being given as an incentive for participation. Group A took the test at 7:30 a.m. and Group B took it at 4:00 p.m. All subjects were told that this was a new form of intelligence test and that advance preparation would not be beneficial. They were also informed that two versions of the test would be used to guard against collaboration. At the study's conclusion the purpose was described.
