Abstract

The application of superlubricity will largely decrease the dissipation of energy. The MoS2/H-DLC composite can achieve superlubricity in active atmospheres. Unfortunately, in dry air atmosphere, the composite can establish superlow friction with an extremely short life, hindering the application of the MoS2/H-DLC composite with superlow friction in engineering. To establish superlubricity in dry and moist air, we adopted GO with O-containing groups to prepare a GO/MoS2/H-DLC composite to endow the triple composite with superlubricity in dry and moist air. The friction and wear performance of the triple composite were studied comprehensively in this work. The composition and structures of transfer films and wear tracks were also investigated here. This work would provide some helpful advice for application of H-DLC composite with superlubricity in air.
