Abstract
Studies have been conducted to determine the effect of feeding Quercus cortex extract in different dosages on the growth and development of carp in comparison with probiotics (Bifidobacterium longum) and antibiotics (ciprofloxacin hydrochloride). The studies found an increase in fish growth due to the introduction in the diet of Quercus cortex extracts concentration 1 and 2 mg/kg feed of 7,9 % and 10,7 % (P<0,05), respectively. The inclusion of probiotic and antibiotic in the diet showed no significant differences compared to the control group.
