Abstract
Objective To study the effects of putishengyin on leukocytopenia in mice. Methods Mice were randomly divided into normal control group, model control group, leucogen group, high and low dosage groups of putishengyin. The leukocytopenia model in mice was made by cyclophosphamide intraperitoneal injection. Hematocyte, nucleated cells in bone marrow and the organ coefficient of thymus gland and spleen were measured and analysed. Results Compared with the normal control group, the white blood cell count, red blood cell count and nucleated cell count in bone marrow declined significantly in leukoeytopenia model con-trol group mice. Putishengyin could increase the white blood cell count and nucleated cell count in bone marrow(P 0.05). Conclusion Putishengyin has obviously antagonistic effects on leukecytopenia and arrest of bone marrow caused by the application of cyclophosphamide. Key words: Putishengyin; Leukocytopenia; Mice
