This study was designed to compare several characteristics of grazed, isolated, and commercial strains of Indian ricegrass. The two main objectives were: to determine whether morphological characteristics and chemical components of Indian ricegrass were affected by 50 yr of protection from long-term heavy grazing, and to determine whether the responses observed were the result of plastic adaptations or genetic selection
