Abstract

：Objective To investigatethe effects of propranolol on the expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNA in rats withmyocardial ischemia. Methods Fifty SD rats were randomly divided into:(1)sham-operationgroup;(2)operation The changes of expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNA in myocardial tissuewere detected by RT-PCR and the cardiomyocyte apoptosis was observed by TUNEL. ResultsPropranolol enhanced the expression of Bcl-2 mRNA(P<0.01) and reduced the expression ofBax mRNA (P<0.01) in myocardial ischemia tissue. Conclusions Expressions of Bcl-2 andBax mRNA were influenced by propranolo in rat myocardium, and to prevent apoptosis ofischemic myocardium.
