On the basis of traditional nursing intervention in the control group, progressive muscle exercise supplemented by mindfulness decompression intervention was implemented. Before and at the end of the first week after the intervention, patients in both groups were assessed by Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS), Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) and Pittsburgh Sleep Scale. Results After intervention, the negative emotion scores and Pittsburgh sleep quality scores of the research group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions For patients with cardiothoracic surgery, the introduction of progressive muscle exercise combined with mindfulness decompression can improve the sleep quality and emotional state of patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
