Abstract
Background and Aims: Inflammatory interleukins and lipid accumulation in the intima of an arterial wall play an important role in atherogenesis. Modified LDL can cause activation of inflammatory pathways in macrophages and interleukins production. We have shown how pro-inflammatory cytokines influence on cholesterol content of macrophages and lipid accumulation.
