Abstract
This chapter gives an overview on how risk assessment, evaluation of effects and labelling of risk are implemented within the German authorization procedure for plant protection products (PPP). It gives an analysis of whether the current testing strategy fulfils the objectives as laid down in Council Directive 91/414/EEC, and finally looks at how risk assessment and risk management could be improved with regard to non-target terrestrial arthropods.
