Abstract

COVID-19 outbreak has pushed almost all the employees around the world to work in a completely different setting in comparison to what it used to be before. It triggered interventions such as social distancing, travel restrictions, virtual or remote work, and skeleton crews have constrained the continuance of earlier processes, thereby changing the way employees work. Deep fatigue and extreme stress, combined with wider societal anxieties around COVID-19 and the lack of a clear endpoint are likely to result in a reduction in employee wellbeing and engagement, and will pose a once-in a-generation challenge for business leaders. The main focus of the study is to bring out the Effects of Pandemic on Employee Psyche and Performance in IT Sector. Effects of Pandemic on Employee Psyche and Performance in IT Sector were studies with the help of 18 statements. The researcher used SPSS software to analyse the data. The statistical tools used for analysis are Descriptive Statistics, Cronbach’s Alpha, ANOVA, KMO and Bartlett's Test and Rotated Factor Analysis. Scree Plot is used to highlight the number of components. The time period of study ranges between March and April of 2021. The conclusion derived from the component transformation matrix is that there is association between challenges and fear of risk and new culture of work has nothing to do with the either challenges or fear of risk. It is suggested that as the IT employees are ready and vigorous towards work ethics it is advisable to the management to get the maximum input from the employees by giving maximum output in the form of both monetary and non-monetary emoluments.
