Abstract
Rationale: The Asian population is aging rapidly and there is growing interest on the effects of nutrition on optimizing health and function. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of oral nutritional supplement (ONS) with beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB) on nutritional status and functional outcomes in 811 community-dwelling older adults at risk of malnutrition (Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool, MUST = medium or high-risk).
