Abstract

Introduction: Our systematic review has shown that manual therapy is effective in improving ankle range of motion in subjects with Chronic Ankle Instability (CAI). However, it has not been determined whether self-administered active exercise has a similar effect. In addition, it is not known whether manual therapy or exercise can improve ankle proprioception in CAI subjects.
