Abstract

ABSTRACTTo make sure the effects of operation parameters on rheological properties of bubble petroleum coke water slurry, orthogonal experiments and range analysis were done. The results show that the optimal operation condition for pseudoplastic characteristics was the combination of frother dosage of 0.045 wt% of the air-dried pulverized petroleum coke, aeration time of 30 min, aperture size of air distribution plate of 2–5 μm, solid concentration of 68 wt%, and frother AOS, on which the flow characteristic exponent was around 0.6, indicating a perfect pseudoplastic. The major factors affecting rheological properties were frother dosage and aeration time.
