Abstract

In this work, effects of shape and size of the patch element employed in a phase-cancellation-based radar cross section reduction measure is looked into. Though the dielectric-loaded dual-layer phase cancellation structure provides broadband and broad angle back scattering suppression features, Numerical results suggest the amount of metal surface reflection is subjected to the geometry used as well as the sizes of the patch. Proper patch designs should be used to optimize the radar cross section reduction performance.
