Abstract

Abstract Effects of meson exchange currents (MEC) and particle-hole (ph) rescatterings are investigated in addition to those of the spin-orbit part of the final-state interaction in the exclusive 12 C(c, e'p) 12 B g,s reaction as well as in the inclusive 12 C(e, e') 12 C reaction in the quasielastic region. The MEC are found to improve the agreement of the calculated values of the ratios of the transverse to Coulomb response functions and momentum distribution with the observed data. We still need some mechanism other than the MEC and ph rescatterings to explain the data of momentum distribution.
