Abstract
Laboratory results showed that Lovo® (amine stearate) spray additives produced a significant improvement in the technical characteristics required for the application of Thuricide® (Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner) in aqueous suspension at ultra low volume (0.5 to 2 Imperial gal./acre). The effects of the additives were three-fold leading to improved suspensibility, reduced evaporation of spray, and improved adhesion of deposits. Cage tests using large cabbage white butterfly (Pieris brassicae) larvae demonstrated that improved rain-fastness of Thuricide by Lovo produced a four-fold increase in dosage efficiency.
