Abstract

Lox toxicity and low sensitizing potential, along with antibiotic effectiveness, make lincomycin desirable for treating dental infections. However, its safety for use during pregnancy and in the newborn has yet to be established. These tests with rats show that the drug can be administered during the period of active tooth formation without endangering the developing rat dentition.
