Abstract

Objective To analyze the curative effect and prognosis of laparoscopic intestinal adhesion release on patients with adhesive intestinal obstruction. Methods One hundred patients with adhesive intestinal obstruction treated in Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University from May 2016 to February 2018 were selected and divided into two groups by double blind method. Fifty patients in control group were randomly received open release surgery of intestinal adhesion, and 50 patients in treatment group were treated by laparoscopic intestinal adhesion release. The related indexes, complications and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared, and the changes of serum indexes before and after operation were observed. Results The time of operation, hospital stay after operation, recovery of gastrointestinal function and disappearance of abdominal pain in treatment group was shorter than that in control group (P<0.05). The levels of serum C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT) in treatment group were lower than those in control group (P<0. 05). The incidence of complications in treatment group (4.00%) and the recurrence rate 6 months after operation (6.00%) were significantly lower than those in control group (16.00%, 20.00%), P<0.05. Conclusions Laparoscopic intestinal adhesion release is an effective method for the treatment of adhesive intestinal obstruction, with advantages of less trauma, shorter procedure and less complications. It can promote the patients’ gastrointestinal function, relieve the body inflammation, reduce the recurrence rate resulting in good prognosis. Key words: Adhesive intestinal obstruction; Laparoscopic intestinal adhesion release; Inflammatory reaction; Prognosis
