Abstract

Chromatin can interact with lamin of the cellular nuclear envelope and plays important roles in 3D genome organization. Lamina Associated Domains (LAD) are regions on the chromatin where interaction with proteins in the lamin occur. Recent studies of DNA adenine methyltransferase identification (DamID) assay have mapped out LAD locations genomewide. Here we study the effects of LAD and lamin interactions on chromatin territories, chromatin shapes, and nucleopasmic cavities.
