Abstract

Effects of La2O3 and annealing temperature on grain size and mechanical properties of Mo alloys was investigated. The results indicated that recrystallization temperature increased with increasing La2O3 contents. At the same annealing temperature, the more the La2O3 contents was, the less the average grain size was. Microhardness of Mo alloys were reduced with raising annealing temperature, and there were steep drop in microhardness-annealing temperature curves when the annealing temperature were close to recrystallization point. At the same annealing temperature, there were rising trend with increasing the La2O3 contents. Impact mechanism of La2O3 on grain growth and microhardness was analyzed by dislocation theory. The ductility of Mo alloys with 0.7wt. La2O3 at ambient temperature is superiest, about 18.6.
