Abstract
MILLAR, SUSANNA. Effects of Instructions to Visualize Stimuli during Delay on Visual Recognition by Preschool Children. CHILD DEVELOPMENT, 1972, 43, 1073-1075. Visual recognition of nonsense shapes by preschool Ss was tested under unfilled delay and instructions to visually rehearse the standard. Instructions significantly increased recognition accuracy. Ability to label the shapes was not related to recognition accuracy for either the rehearsal or the noninstructed group.
