Abstract

For a long time, inhibin has been thought to be a hormone secreted only by testicular tissue. It has negative feedback actions to the secretion of pituitary follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). In 1976, DeJong et al. demonstrated that bovine follicular fluid showed inhibin activity. This aroused great interest in inhibin, study.
