Abstract
Misclassification affects the estimation of measures of association in epidemiologic studies. The paper investigates the situations of non-differential misclassification of exposure or disease, of independent non-differential misclassification of exposure and disease and misclassification in the presence of covariates and the resulting effects on the attributable risk. Of special interest is the situation where a dichotomous covariate is misclassified.
