Abstract

This study investigates the effects of Himalayan Singing Bowls (HSBs) meditation on mood and heart rate variability (HRV). Participants engaged in a single session of HSBs meditation, during which mood states were assessed using standardized scales, and HRV was recorded using electrocardiography. Results indicate significant improvements in mood, characterized by increased feelings of relaxation, calmness, and positive affect post-meditation. Additionally, HRV analysis revealed enhanced parasympathetic activity and increased HRV indices indicative of physiological relaxation. These findings suggest that HSBs meditation elicits beneficial effects on both mood and autonomic nervous system function, highlighting its potential as a holistic mind-body intervention.
