Abstract

Sex hormones play an important role in reproduction. Our previous study confirmed that the ratio of ER and PR was increased in the cervix of mouse preterm birth model. Genistein, genistin, and daidzein have been reported to regulate ER and PR expression. In this study, the effect of genistein, genistin, and daidzein on Drosophila sex hormone level, egg production and gestational period as well as the effect on ER and PR expression in the cervix epithelial cell line ME-180, were investigated.
