Abstract
To evaluate effects of Floy FD-67 anchor tags on growth and condition, we tagged 581 adult northern pike Esox lucius longer than 380 mm and compared annual length increments and slopes of length-weight regressions of recaptured fish at large about 1 year with those of untagged northern pike. The mean increment for the tagged fish was 44% less than that of untagged fish of similar sizes, but the condition of tagged northern pike was not impaired.
