Abstract

The effects of different concentrations of exogenous 2,4-epibrassinolide on the cold resistance of pitaya branches (Hylocereus costaricensis ’Taiwan No.6’) were studied. The pitaya branches were immersed in 2,4-epithelactone solution at concentrations of 0 mg/L, 0.01 mg/L, 0.1 mg/L, and 1 mg/L for 30 min, taken out to dry, and placed in the refrigerator (0±1℃). After refrigerating for 7 days, the relative electrolyte conductivity rate, malondialdehyde, soluble sugar, soluble protein and free proline content of each sample were determined. Compared with the control (0 mg/L), the treatment of 0.01 mg/L of 2,4-epibrassinolide significantly increased the soluble protein soluble sugar and free proline content of pitaya branches, and reduced the relative electrolyte conductivity and malondialdehyde content. Exogenous 2,4-epibrassinolide treatment can effectively improve the cold resistance of pitaya, and the treatment with 0.01mg/L is the best.
