Abstract
ABSTRACT The effects of Eurycoma longifolia Jack extracts on copulatory behavior was studied in middle-aged male rats. Chronic dosing with 0.5 g/kg daily of plant extracts elicited mountings and, after four weeks of treatment facilitated both intromissions and ejaculations. Repeated dosing exhibited more pronounced stimulation of copulatory behavior in the rats with a high level of maintenance of both intromissions and ejaculations during the 9 to 12 week observation period.
