Abstract

Purpose: This study is a descriptive research study to identify the correlations between emotional intelligence gratitude disposition, and psychological well-being and to identify factors that affect psychological well-being of nurses in charge of home care work. Methods: A self-assessment study was conducted with 141 nurses in charge of home care work. Data collected were analyzed using frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis and Hierarchical regression analysis with the SPSS 27.0 program. Results: Emotional intelligence had a statistically significant positive correlation with gratitude disposition (r=.45, p<.001) and psychological well-being (r=.53, p<.001), and gratitude disposition also had psychological well-being (r=.24, p=.004) and it was found to have a statistically significant positive correlation. As a result of hierarchical regression analysis, the factors that significantly affect psychological well-being were emotional intelligence (β=.45, p<.001), which 33.9% explained of the total variance. Conclusion: The results suggest the need to establish an intervention strategy to increase the psychological well-being of Nurses in charge of home care work and prepare a policy to support leisure time.
