Abstract

Purpose: Previous research has suggested exercise, in particular high-intensity interval training (HIIT) has positive-effects on cognition, brain-health, neuroplasticity and cortical-excitability (CE) (Costigan et al., 2016; Aguiar et al., 2011). However, it is unclear whether different repetitions of HIIT have a greater effect on cognition and CE.
