Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of different doses of dexmedetomidine on hemodynamics and recovery agitation and postoperative pain in children undergoing pediatric anesthesia. Methods A total of 120 patients who underwent surgery in the Affiliated Hospital of Yuncheng Vocational College of Nursing from December 2016 to December 2018 were randomly divided into four groups with 30 cases in each group. Group A underwent general anesthesia and group B1 received low-dose dexmedetomidine. In group B2, the middle dose of dexmedetomidine was added, and the group B3 was given the high dose of dexmedetomidine. Perioperative hemodynamic parameters, postoperative pain, recovery, restlessness and anesthesia related parameters were compared among the four groups. Results There was no significant difference in mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2) and end-expiratory carbon dioxide partial pressure (ETCO2) levels between the four groups (P>0.05). At 30 min, 1 h and 6 h after operation, the FLACC and PABD scores of group B1, group B2 and group B3 were lower than those of group A, and the FLACC and PABD scores of group B2 and group B3 were lower than those of group B1. At 30 min and 1 h after operation, the Alderete scores of group B1, group B2 and group B3 were higher than those of group A, while the Alderete scores of group B2 and group B3 were higher than those of group B1; the recovery time, extubation time and the time of sending out PACU of B3 group were higher than those of group B1. There were significant differences in group A, group B1 and group B2 (P<0.05). Conclusions The effect of dexmedetomidine used in pediatric anesthesia on children’s hemodynamics, restlessness during recovery period and postoperative pain was significant. Among them, the effect of medium dose is obvious and the recovery is quick, which has reference significance. Key words: Dexmedetomidine; Anesthesia; Hemodynamics; Wakefulness; Agitation; Pain
