Abstract

Synopsis Two hundred Pekin ducklings were fed to 3 weeks of age on a pelleted starter diet and in the subsequent 4 weeks the effects of feeding grower diets in mash, crumb or pellet forms were examined. Diet form did not cause significant differences in live‐weight at 7 weeks. The mash form caused significant increases in food consumption, giblet weight and gizzard weight and a significant decrease in weight gain. There were no significant interactions between diet composition and diet form.
