Abstract

The purpose of the study was to explore effects of core training on selected physical and physiological parameters on male medium fast bowlers in cricket. Totally 10 medium fast bowlers were selected through purposive sampling aged 17-27 years. Before the twelve weeks core training program data were collected for Physical and Physiological variables, after the immediately completed of the training program again data were collected properly. Then compared pre- and post-values of all the parameters (p < 0.05), except aerobic power. . Significant differences were found in all other parameters in favour of EG (p < 0.05). As a result, it could be said that there are positive effects of core strength training on some physical and physiological parameters of male students who were between 14-16 years old.
