Abstract

Purpose: Non-specific chronic low back pain (NSCLBP) is a multifaceted type of low back pain affecting the biology, social and psychological aspect of an individual. Although it seems clear that core stabilization and cognitive behavioural therapy administered individually had been shown to be effective in patients with non-specific chronic low back pain, but the comparative efficacy of both interventions has not been satisfactorily studied. This study compared the effects of cognitive behavioural therapy and core stabilization exercise on pain-related disability, psychological status and sleep disturbance in patients with NSCLBP.
