Abstract

Objective To study the effects of community - family health education on life style and compliance of drug therapy for hypertension patients. Methods 120 hypertension patients were divided into experimental group and control group, 60 cases in each group. The health education was taken only for patients themselves in control group, but for the patients and their family members in experimental group. To evaluate the influence on life style and compliance of drug therapy before and after the health education. Results There were significantly different in the two groups in improving life style, increasing compliance of drug therapy and reducing hypertension (P<0.01) . Conclusions The health education for the patients and their family members could improve life style and increase compliance of drug therapy better than that for the patients themselves.
