Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of colostrum oral immunological nursing on the growth and development of very low birth weight infants (VLBW). Methods Sixty-nine cases of VLBW were selected as the research objects, and randomly divided into treatment group (n=34) and control group (n=35). The control group was given routine nursing, and the treatment group was given colostrum oral immunotherapy related nursing within one week after birth. Results The duration of total intestinal feeding in the treatment group was significantly shorter, the body weight gain per week was significantly higher, and the body weight day of birth was significantly earlier than that in the control group (P Conclusion Colostrum oral immunity nursing can effectively shorten the time for VLBW to reach total enteral nutrition, reduce the incidence of NEC, sepsis and extrauterine growth restriction, and accelerate the growth rate of VLBW.
