Abstract

Some effects of the clipping threshold of speckle intensity on the statistics of the clipped signal are discussed. The dependence of the correlation width of clipped intensity on the clipping threshold is investigated. The relationship between the widths of the correlation functions of clipped and non-clipped speckle intensities is studied. For a time dependent speckle intensity, the relationship between the correlation width and time interval distribution of clipped intensity is also investigated. Some experimental results are given.
