Abstract
연구목적: 본 연구는 아동기 결핍경험이 성인기 우울과 자아존중감, 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 방법: ‘한국복지패널조사(Korean Welfare Panel Study)’ 1차(2006년), 16차(2021년) 자료를병합 후 활용하였으며, 연구모형 검증을 위해 Stata/SE 17.0 program을 통한 위계적 회귀분석을실시하였다. 결과: 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소득, 음주, 가족관계, 거주지역은 성인의우울과 자아존중감, 삶의 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 둘째, 아동기 결핍경험이많을수록 성인기 우울이 높아지고 자아존중감, 삶의 만족도는 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구는 결핍의 장기적 특성에 주목하여, 아동기 결핍경험이 성인기에 미치는 직접적인 영향력을 살펴보았다는 데 의의가 있다. 이를 통해 아동정책의 방향성을 설정하는 데중요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.Objectives: This study attempts to explore the effects of childhood deficiency experiences on depression, self-esteem, and life satisfaction in adulthood. Methods: For analysis, the first (2006) and sixteenth (2021) waves of the 'Korean Welfare Panel Study' were merged and a hierarchical regression analysis was then conducted through the Stata/SE 17.0 program to verify the research model. Results: The analysis results can be summarized as follows: First, income, drinking, family relationships, and region had significant effects on depression, self-esteem, and life satisfaction in adulthood. Second, it was found that with more childhood deficiency experiences led to, more instances of depression, and lower self-esteem and life satisfaction in adulthood. Conclusions: It is meaningful that this study examined the direct influence of childhood deficiency experiences on adulthood by paying attention to the long-term consequences of the deficiencies. Through this study, we intend to provide important basic data for setting the direction of child policies.
