Abstract

In recent years, in the manufacturing sector, magnesium is becoming very highly used material for the manufacturing of wires for various purposes, but due to its low strength a vast variety of magnesium alloys are being implemented instead. This research focuses on the effect of chemical components of alloying elements in magnesium alloys wires, considering the workability for cold wire drawing of the materials and their mechanical properties and comparing them to similarly drawn magnesium wires.
