Abstract
The role Ca/sup + +/ plays in inhibition of Zn/sup + +/ toxicity was examined in this research. Calcium is a naturally-occurring element in the aquatic system contributing to hardness and alkalinity. Variations in water chemistry primarily result from differing levels of Ca/sup + +/ and Mg/sup + +/ ions.
