Abstract

The development and use of genetic modified plants (GMPs), as well as their ecological risks have been a topic of considerable public debate since their first commercial use in 1996. Transplastomic plants as a bioreactor offers a number of unique advantages, such as high level of transgene expression, stable expression. Soil microbial communities were studied in soil, the communities of bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes were investigated between the aadA transplastomic tobacco plants (TA) and the controls (non-genetic modified tobacco). And on the impact of rhizosphere microorganisms after their stems and leaves complete decomposition. The results shown: (1) The effect of transplastomic tobacco and control tobacco to major microbial groups in amount was not significantly different; (2) No matter transplastpmic tobacco or controls, the microbial number was bacteria>actinomycete>fungi.
