We examined how the accumulation of chlorophyll b and LHCII apoproteins changes when the rate of synthesis of chlorophyll is increased by a supply of 5-aminolevulinic acid, a precursor for the biosynthesis of chlorophyll, without any change in light conditions, which affects the rate of synthesis of chlorophyll-protein complex apoproteins as well as chlorophyll
