Abstract

A domain wall structure of π0-neutron (π0-quark) system in cold and dense neutron (quark) matter is examined on the basis of the σ-model. For this sake, a derivative expansion method which leads to a local effective action for π0-field at finite density is developed. It is shown that the domain wall acquires net spin and has density-dependent surface tension. A relation between the domain wall and the alternating-layer-spin structure is also discussed.
