Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the effectiveness of a program of school activities in science to develop some life skills among sixth graders. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the analytical descriptive method. The researcher also used a set of study tools, including a list of life skills, a program of school activities that develop these skills, and a teacher's guide to carry out the studied activitiesThe study sample consisted of (70) students in primary school (229) in the city of Riyadh, they were divided into two groups: the first experimental number (36) students, studied the proposed program, the second female officer (34) students studied in the usual way, The first year of the academic year 1436-1437 AH. The results of the study showed the following:1. There were statistically significant differences at (0.05) between the mean of the experimental group 5.92 and the mean of the control group 4.5 in the health food life skills test for the experimental group.There were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the mean of the experimental group 6.64 and the average of control group 6.03 in the preventive health life skills test.3. There were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average of the experimental group 7.75 and the average of the control group 6.82 in the personal health life skills test for the experimental group.4- The effectiveness of the proposed program in developing the healthy life skills of sixth graders.The study recommended activating the activities of the school in the primary stage, both classroom and extracurricular, and the need to provide the necessary evidence for extracurricular activities, which helps teachers to apply them and avoid errors when implemented.
