Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI-II) Validity Index (VI) to detect random responding. Undergraduate students (n=58) completed the MCMI-II under instructions to respond randomly to the items. Scores on the VI from this sample were compared with VI scores from a sample of psychiatric inpatients (n=129)
