The aspect wise mean pre-test and post-test knowledge scores on tube feeding in old age people among caregivers. With regard to knowledge on general information of tube feeding in old age people, the mean scores in pre-test and post test were 8.14±2.86 and 13.26±2.74 respectively, obtained‘t’ value was 7.64. In area of problems of tube feeding, mean scores in pre-test was 2.69±2.31 and in post-test was 8.83±1.17 and obtained ‘t’ value was 16.38. In relation to prevention of complications of tube feeding, the mean scores in pre-test was 5.91±2.09 and in post-test was 9.79±1.21 and obtained ‘t’ value was 9.61. The overall ‘t’ value was 21.64 which was above the table value 2.6 at P≤0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study suggests that the STP is the best way for the caregivers regarding tube feeding among old age population and also the STP developed by the researcher is an effective materials and should be used as a blue print for further investigations to develop more effective instructional materials.
