Abstract

Purpose: Unintentional injuries are the primary cause of morbidity and mortality among young children in the US. Ten percent of these injuries occur while in early childcare settings. Because of these statistics the AAP Healthy Futures project developed curriculum on injury prevention for early childcare providers.
