Introduction

Aging people around the world is increasing very rapidly, and there are more than 900 million people over age 60 years around the world. Between 2015 and 2050 the number will be doubled from about 12% to 22% and the number will be 2 billion people [1]. In the 21st century, the rising proportion of elderly people in the population in both developed and developing countries is creating new health care challenges. Old age refers to ages nearing or surpassing the life expectancy of human beings, and is the end of the human life cycle. People often have limited regenerative abilities and are more susceptible to disease, syndromes, injuries and sickness than younger adults. Older age is inevitably accompanied by an increased risk of physical and psychological disorders. The elderly face other social issues around retirement, loneliness, and ageism [2]
