Abstract

The dependences of the effectiveness factor of a plate catalyst grain on the Thiele parameter for reactions with degree kinetics in isothermal and non-isothermal conditions were investigated. Analysis of a possible stationary distribution of concentration in the thickness of a catalyst grain was performed. The condition under which “dead zones” arise and their sizes in the central part of a catalyst grain depending on the reaction order were established.
